You've made the decision!
The day of your new arrival is planned!

Now What?!

We are often asked what items we suggest to have ready for your new puppy.

We thought we'd make an easy list for you to refer to!

(ALL OF THESE ITEMS CAN BE FOUND ON AMAZON or TSC Websites)

~CHIHUAHUA PUPPIES~

IRIS PEN

All of our puppies are accustomed to sleeping and resting in a pen like this for their safety when you are unable to supervise them closely.

It is also considered a "safe" place for them, but they have all they need to be happy and have their needs met. We put a soft bed, litter box, water bottle, and safe toys for puppy in their pen.

LITTER BOX

We prefer the Van Ness style high sided or small style boxes found on Amazon.

LITTER

We prefer the Puppy Go Potty paper litter,

OR Feline Pine Pellets.

WATER BOTTLE

We prefer to train our puppies to litter bottles which hang on the side of their pen or crate. It keeps the water cleaner, as well

as puppy and bedding nice and dry.  You can find Choco Nos or Maddan water bottle brands on Amazon or in the small animal area of most pet stores.

4HEALTH KIBBLE/STELLA & CHEWY'S FREEZE DRIED RAW

Your puppy or adult will be eating 4HEALTH Small breed Adult kibble (Grain INCLUSIVE) and Stella & Chewy's freeze dried raw.

BONES AND CHEWIES
NO RAWHIDE OR CHEAP CHEWS. NEVER LEAVE YOUR DOG UNATTENDED WITH CHEWS OR TOYS!

My puppies/dogs are used to Bully sticks, Sweet Potato Chews, Himalayan chews, and Whimzees.

CRATE

We prefer a "200" size hard sided (vented) Plastic (Ruffland Kennels) crate.

It is possible depending on your dogs adult size you will later need to upgrade to a 300 size, but we suggest a 200 to start

and to help continue with potty training. More room is not always better for training and safety.

NEVER LEAVE A COLLAR ON YOUR PUPPY UNATTENDED IN A CRATE!

We prefer PRIMO style crate pads for our minis, they are easy to clean and chew deterrent.

Soft beds often become enticing to chew and the stuffing can cause intestinal blockages.

WATER BOTTLE/STAINLESS HANGING BUCKET

We prefer to train our puppies to litter bottles which hang on the side of their pen or crate. It keeps the water cleaner, as well
as puppy and bedding nice and dry.  You can find Choco Nos or Maddan water bottle brands on Amazon or in the small animal area of most pet stores, and water buckets for when puppy is older.

4HEALTH KIBBLE

BONES AND CHEWIES
NO RAWHIDE OR CHEAP CHEWS. NEVER LEAVE YOUR DOG UNATTENDED WITH CHEWS OR TOYS!
